About this event

Maintaining Trust During a Crisis

Presented by
Katie Garcia

Here’s an opportunity to preview a Northwest Communicators Conference keynote speaker and session presenter. In this PRSA Oregon webinar, Katie Garcia will explore how trust is maintained during a crisis when leaders show care and act in alignment with their values.

A senior advisor and chief of staff at NYC-based Logos Consulting Group and a senior fellow at the Logos Institute for Crisis Management and Executive Leadership, Katie will examine the core drivers of trust and how they surface during moments of disruption. She will also share practical steps and decision criteria communicators can use before, during and after a crisis.

Katie is a contract lecturer at Columbia University’s Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences and has taught crisis communication, strategic communication and effective feedback at New York University’s School of Professional Studies, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and College of Mount Saint Vincent. In 2024, she was named one of PRSA New York’s 15 Under 35.
