Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we communicate—but what will happen when laws and regulations catch up? On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from noon to 1 p.m. PT, PRSA Oregon will host a virtual webinar with Cayce Myers, Ph.D., LL.M., J.D., APR, a prolific author and expert in public relations law and policy.
This webinar will offer a sneak peek at Dr. Myers’ upcoming book, Artificial Intelligence and Law in the Communication Professions, set for release in June 2025. In this book, he examines existing and proposed laws, policies and regulations of AI in the United States and the European Union, and how the technological development of AI will be affected in the next decade and its impact on the communication industry.

He has written extensively on public relations strategy, history and legal issues, publishing eight books and more than 60 peer reviewed articles, book chapters, law review articles, and trade press articles. He currently serves on the PRSA National Board of Directors. Previously, he served on the PRSA Universal Accreditation Board, the Board of Ethics and Professional Standards, and as a Trustee on the PRSA Foundation Board.
Beyond PRSA, Dr. Myers is the Legal Research Editor for the Institute for Public Relations, an active member of the Arthur W.
