Weekend Reading: Voices4Everyone

This week, PRSA launched its Voices4Everyone program. The launch announcement was the first time I’d heard of this initiative (guess I need to do a better job reading PRSA emails), so it was a pleasant surprise to learn more about the association’s efforts related to some of the toughest challenges we are facing as communications and PR pros:

  • Disinformation
  • Diversity & Inclusion
  • Civility
  • Civic Engagement

As a took a quick peek at the Voices4Everyone website, I liked that each of these focus areas has a deeper dive that includes things like programs, thought leadership, learning, ways to get involved, toolkits and resources to help us better understand the issues and find ways to meaningfully engage them.

According the launch announcement, “Voices4Everyone is designed to leverage the expertise, creativity and collective voice of the public relations profession as we tackle and address the complex issues.” I find it hard sometimes to find content related to Diversity & Inclusion or Civic Engagement tailored to communicators, so I’m excited to learn more!

Through Voices4Everyone, PRSA hopes to provide information and tools to help us ACT:

  • Amplify the assets and messages to support a healthy information environment.
  • Connect initiatives with your publics to build positive relationships and establish thought leadership.
  • Take action by advocating the content to learn, grow, engage and share as trusted advisors in the national conversation about advancing the public good.

I cant wait to spend some more time this weekend digging into Voices4Everyone!
